All Summer long I wanted to make the drive from Cypress to Galveston to photograph the 61st Street Pier in Galveston from the beach level instead of from the seawall up above, but I just couldn't get myself to wake up so early to drive the hour and fifteen minutes or brave the elements, (90% humidity, 85F at 5:00 AM.) Instead, I decided I'd wait until the first strong cold front, (which I thought would arrive in September, but ended up showing up late, in mid-October.) I wanted to capture the panoramic perspective from underneath the pier and capture the streaking clouds caused by the high winds. This is the result. Thanks for looking. FAA watermark WILL NOT show on fine art print.
